Dear diary, February 8th, 2008
Yesterday was my birthday! I am now fifteen years old. In seven months I will be getting my permit! I am so excited. Well at about two o’clock in the morning my dad came in and gave me 15 spanks and a pinch to grow an inch. And then my mom woke me up early to give me some gifts form her and my dad. They gave me the movie Blades of Glory with Will Farrell and Jon Heder, it looks really funny. They also gave me a fuzzy coloring book, a shirt that says “Girls just wanna have fun”. They also gave me a ribbon that says “Birthday Girl”, and a crown that says “Princess” . and some candy bracelets and some strawberry kisses. They also gave me 200 dollars for my birthday party. My sister got me some awesome make-up from one of my favorite stores. It is a bunch of eye shadows, every color you can think of. I like how sparkly each one is. She also got me a Hoops&Yoyo card that on the front it says “your present is hidden in a top secret place” and then you open it and Hopps&yoyo say “Awww you found it” I love it. It’s so funny. When I got home from school my mom, sister, and I watched this movie called Sydney White with Amanda Bynes. It was good. And then my dad made a fantastic birthday meal of steak and stuffed mushrooms. You haven’t eaten until you have eaten stuffed mushrooms made by my dad. They rock! Ha-ha.
It is a tradition that every year on my birthday my mom takes me out to breakfast or lunch and a movie and then a little bit of shopping. But this year I wanted to go to school on my birthday because it is so much fun going to school on your birthday so everyone can wish you a happy birthday and give you hugs. So today my mom took me out to Ihop to have some chocolate chip pancakes. And then we went to the store and I got plaid shorts that are blue with pink and yellow in them. I also got two t-shirts. One says Peace is the way and the other has a bunch of peace signs all over it. And I also got a plain white t-shirt. I am happy about that! And then we went to go see a movie. We saw Fool’s Gold with Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson. It was really good. It had a lot more action scenes than I thought it would. Even if you don’t like action movies at least you would get to see Matthew McConaughey with his shirt off! Ha-ha. I love our tradition! And I like missing school to go see a movie! I had fun these last two days.
