I love the song “Breakaway” by Kelly Clarkson. This is my favorite song by her, and the first one I heard by her. I didn’t watch American Idol when she won but I am glad she did! I would always wait for the music video to come on Disney Channel. I loved it. I remember when this song first came out everyone was singing it and it was on Laguna Beach which meant it had to be a good song. My favorite part is when she sings “I would just stare out my window” because that is what I do all the time. When I am in the car I turn on the radio and look out the window. This song is one of her very best ones.

Dear Diary, March 30, 2008

This weekend has been so much fun. Friday night, for the first time, I went ice skating. My friend Ana just invited some people to go with her and I was one of them. I was so scared that I was going to fall because I broke my arm rollerblading and ice skating is similar to rollerblading. Everybody who went had been ice skating before so I was worried they were going to go super fast and I would be all slow. But Kelsey and Maudy helped me and I didn’t fall once. Ana wanted to go really fast and I didn’t want to, so when I held on to her she would go really fast, even though I told her not to go fast! It was scary. I was surprised how much it was like rollerblading. I used to love rollerblading until I broke my arm. You ice skate the same way that you rollerblade except it is harder. It was really slippery on the smooth parts and it was really bumpy where everyone was skating. I get really nervous with all the people there because if they fall in front of you or on the side of you, then you are going down with them. But luckily I didn’t get near all those people.

Then yesterday me and Nina went to the Renaissance Festival. We were going to go last weekend but it was so crowded that we ended up going to Golfland. She is a way better golfer than me. The Renaissance Festival was fun! My favorite show was London Broil. That is a show of three jugglers that tell jokes while the juggle and there really funny. I thought the jousting was really boring because this year it looked really fake. All the other times that I saw it, I didn’t notice the people purposely falling off their horses. I used to love the Ded Bob Show but every year it is the same thing. Nina and I saw it this year and yep, same thing! Not that it isn’t good material but it is like going to see your favorite comedian and him/her saying knock knock jokes. I was happy that I got a turkey leg. It was really good and I think this was the first year that I ate all of it. I wish I found where they were selling corn, because the Renaissance Festival has the best corn on the cob! Delicious! I had a lot of fn this weekend. I even think that I am going to a movie today.

The first time I heard Good Charlotte was with the song “Movin’ On”. This song is awesome! It is in the top ones on my play list that I have listened to. It is so fast and it took me a long time to finally get down the speed and all the words down. I like the beginning with the guitar! Its so cool! This song is good if you are in any kind of mood. I also like the part where it starts to slow down and then he is saying “we’re moving on and on and on…” and than he starts singing all the adjectives. Okay. That sounded weird but it is hard to explain what I mean, you just have to listen to the song.

One of the funniest songs is “Beverly Hills” by Weezer! It is one of my favorite songs. It is about a nerd, wanting to be in “Beverly Hills” but thinks that it is something you are born into and he will never get there. But it is funny because he is at this big ole party in the music video. I used to watch the music video all the time. I like how it has the same beat during the whole song. I also like how he says “My car is a piece of crap” ha-ha. Makes me laugh every time! And it is also funny how he calls all the movie stars clean. I also like the guitar solo! It is really good. Me and my mom always jam out to this song because it is just really fun! It never gets boring.

I didn’t know McFly was an actual band! That rocks. McFly was a band in the movie Just My Luck, I didn’t know that they went on the make more music. I like their music in the movie and I thought that would be cool if they made more music. I just found out that they were making more music so I searched them on YouTube and I found this song called “That Girl”. this song wasn’t in the movie but I like this one probably the best. The music video make me laugh out loud. Its funny. The beginning of this song reminds me of “Surfing In The USA” by The Beach Boys. But it is a better song than that.

“Me Against The World” by Simple Plan is a cool, alternative song. I like the beginning where the guitar is just there and it starts out really quickly. If I am mad or upset with someone I always listen to this song because it just makes me calm down. Even though I never feel like it is “Me Against The World” but it make me feel better that it is not “Me Against The World”. Ha-ha. I like that it has a fast tempo. This song always reminds me of a mosh pit because you could totally start a mosh pit with this song. I like this song a lot! It’s awesome!

The first song I heard by Ne-Yo was “So Sick” at first I thought it was stupid but then I actually paid attention to the lyrics and I thought it was a really sweet song. I like it because he says “I’m so sick of love songs… so why cant I turn off the radio” when your upset it always helps to listen to love or slow songs even thought you get tired of them, you jus don’t feel up to it to listen to anything else. So this song relates to everyone! This song convinced me to by his c.d. I like it a lot although I haven’t listened to it in a while because I got tired of it because I listened to it so much but now I don’t mind listening to it again. It is still a great song.

When I was little my parents always played Matchbox 20 for us in the car, I didn’t really have a preference in music back then so I listened to whatever my parents listened to. I always wanted to listen to the song “Real World” by Matchbox 20 but I didn’t know what the song was called so I would say “play the superman song, play the superman song” they didn’t know what I was talking about because he only says superman like once in the entire song. I always knew it as the superman song until I started listening to it on my own. This song has always been my favorite of Matchbox 20’s songs. They just made a c.d. that was half new songs and half greatest hit songs and this is one of the songs that was a greatest hit. This song is one of the best songs ever. I love it!

Eww… this is so disgusting! Ha-ha. It is funny but disgusting. It reminds me of the movie Along Came Polly. When they are playing basketball and that guys fat sweaty tummy rubs up against Ben Stillers face. I don’t know which one is worst. This is funny but if it was me I wouldn’t think it was very funny! Poor guy, I bet a year later he was still brushing his mouth and never stopped.

My friend Nina showed me the song “Dance Hall Drug” by Boys Like Girls and that’s when I first started like Boys Like Girls. This is my favorite song by Boys Like Girls. This was Nina’s ring tone and I always heard it when her phone was ringing but I didn’t know what song it was. This song is another one of those catchy ones. Once it is in your head there is no way you are getting it out. I don’t know if that is a good or bad thing but at least it is a good song. So if you keep singing it than at least it isn’t a terrible annoying song! So I guess it’s a good thing.
