Okay, so you know I am in Spanish 2! It is a super hard class, and I am not good at Spanish. But last week we had our speaking and writing final. I think I did just okay on the writing final, she hasn’t told us yet. But I got an 18/20 on my speaking final! I was so shocked! Because I was stammering and I was forgetting what to say. Well it seemed that I wasn’t doing that well but I guess I was because I got a 90%! I am so happy! Nothing can bring me down.
Well something can bring me down. And it is bringing me down. I have a D in math this quarter. I hate myself for it too. I am disappointed with myself. I mean I did all my homework but I do really bad on test in that class. I need a 78% on the final to get a C for the semester. I can do it! I hope. Because I will be really sad. I just kept saying that I had time to bring my grade up. But I didn’t have time. I ran out of time just too fast. My mom even offered me to get tutored. I should have, because I really don’t want to get a D. I don’t want to go to tutoring and I really don’t think I need it, but I needed to practice more. When we are doing problems in class I do excellent! I know how to do it, but I forget all the time! So I am going to study really hard for this final.
Wow.. You’ve missed a lot. Okay so.. two Tuesdays ago, I had my last band concert… ever! My parents are disappointed that I don’t want to do band anymore in high school. But I have been playing the clarinet for five years! I just don’t like it anymore. I like the final product at the concerts but not working to get there. Plus, in the high school I am going to, the main band is the marching band. I absolutely do not want to be in marching band for many reasons. For one, you have to get to the school at 6 A.M! Are they insane? No. Not doing it. Not only do you have to go in early but you have to stay late. I don’t know how late but probably till 6 a couple nights a week. Nope! Not doing that either. Plus, if I go into a concert band, nobody cares about concert bands there. Marching band is the only band they care about and I don’t want to be in marching band.
A couple weekends ago I went to Relay For Life which is where you walk as much as you can for people who have died of cancer or who are surviving cancer. The reason why I was there was because my Nana’s work donated some money, and my nana wanted to go. So I said I would go and help out. It went from 6 P.M to 6 A.M on a Saturday. I walked maybe 8-10 miles. I was there with my Nana and my sister, Kelsey. We also sold bracelets and Italian soda, which all went to cancer research. I got to play DDR (dance dance revolution) which was cool. Haven’t played it in awhile. I had a lot of fun. I didn’t think it was going to be so much fun but it was. I can’t wait till next year.
My dad cancelled our cell phone service. No I didn’t get in trouble! I’m a good kid. Which really stinks because I use my phone for everything. As a camera, a phone, a mp3 player, my alarm clock, my calendar.. Everything. We will get new ones when school starts again. Hopefully.
Ninth grade formal!!! Formal was a dance at my school , everybody calls it formal because you had to dress up real nice. The weekend before (the day of Relay for Life) I went to the mall with my friend Kashawna, to get my dress. I ended up getting it at Macys for only 55 dollars. When I went up to the cash register I thought it was going to be 70 dollars, but this real nice lady gave me 20% off. My dress was purple with a bow right around my torso and it was about knee length. It was a gorgeous dress. I was happy I found it. Although this other girl named Taylor! (Haha) Showed up with the same dress! But her’s was pink! thankfully. Little dress stealer.
My friend Amal (Girl) invited me to go out to dinner, with some other people just before going to formal. Because formal was from 7:30 till 9:30. So we could eat right before formal. Sounded like a good plan but we just needed to actually make the plan. Like where to eat, who to invite, etc. I was getting so excited the week of formal. But I really needed to make the final decisions with Amal. So Thursday rolls around and Amal is absent from school! I don’t have a phone so I can’t call or text her to see what’s going on. So the next day, Friday, (DAY BEFORE FORMAL) I am nervous that Amal won’t show up at school. If you aren’t at school for at least four hours the day before the event than you can’t go! So if Amal doesn’t show up, she can’t go to formal and I don’t have a date. I have lunch with her, and at first I can’t find her anywhere. She usually comes up to me while I am in line for lunch but she hadn’t. ten minutes into lunch and she still isn’t there! I start freaking out! But then she came, finally! I ran up to her, gave her a hug, and said we needed to figure something out! Then she tells me that she wasn’t planning on going to formal, at all. She made a new plan to go to Mariah’s for the people who aren’t going to formal. I was so mad! She invited me to this, and she is flaking on me. That’s messed up. The day before! But somehow I knew that she would do that to me.
I didn’t want to show up at formal all by myself so I asked Kashawna if she wanted to go out to dinner and then go to formal since she didn’t have plans either. I think I had more fun with Kashawna than I would have had with Amal. Her sister picked me up at my house and my dad paid for our dinner at Applebees. (He is the best) we got to formal like 15 minutes late, and already there were a lot of people there. I took pictures with Kashawna and my other friend Ana. The came out just okay. I wanted to take more pictures but they closed the photo thing early. I was pretty sad. But I was having so much fun! Then, guess who shows up!! Amal! I didn’t say anything mean to her, I just gave her a hug and said hi. I was really upset, because not only did she show up but she came with a friend. Whatever, she said she wasn’t planning on going but her friend showed up at her house. I don’t care. I mean I believe her, because she has never lied to me. It just makes me mad. I don’t act mad because it is just not worth it, to get mad with one more week of school.
Besides all that drama I had so much fun! It was great! Kind of he last thing as a ninth grader! Ohh.. Just saying that makes me nervous. I had so much fun at formal. It was great. A blast!
This is the most disgusting thing I have seen in my entire life! How on earth can people do this to their feet, or their bodies. It must have been super painful! People actually do this?!!? It is amazing the different cultures and how different people are. Nobody I know would ever think of doing stuff like this, but I bet it is really popular wherever that lady is. Oh my goodness. Yikes. I can’t stop looking at it. It just doesn’t seem real.
I didn’t really like the song “Tim McGraw” by Taylor Swift because I thought it was boring and simple. Plus it is super country. But I really like the music video and so now I like the song a little bit. I didn’t like the reference to Tim McGraw but than I realized you can replace “Tim McGraw” with something else and it is a super cute song. Taylor Swift is a great singer! This is a good song to show off her talents. My sister bought this song a long time ago, so I downloaded her songs on my Ipod, but I never listened to this song. But when I heard “Teardrops On My Guitar” I thought I would give this song a chance and it isn’t one of my favorites. But it isn’t bad. Just nothing too special about the song. It has a cute idea though.

“Too Close For comfort” by Mcfly is such an awesome song. It is about a guy getting too close to a girl and she starts to push him away. I like because it is like the opposites of what normally happens. But there are parts I don’t like too much like the beginning when Tom talks really fast and at the end where is turns in to a rock song. But maybe that is a good thing because it adds a little difference or flavor to the song. But you don’t expect it to get all rock because it starts out so slow and cute. I really love the chorus, it is the best part of the song. I also like Danny’s singing part, he is still my favorite. This is one of the songs in the movie Just My Luck. I loved it in the movie but I didn’t know what song it was because they only played a little clip of it. But it sounded so awesome in the movie. It is a great song.

One song that I like from Ashlee Simpson’s new c.d. (Bittersweet World) is “Little Miss Obsessive” featuring Tom Higgenson. At first I was like who the heck is Tom Higgenson but I searched his name and I realized he is from Plain White Tees (another cool band). I think this song should be called “Over” because she says over a lot. I read somewhere that this was her 1st single for her c.d. (Bittersweet World). But I didn’t hear on the radio or anything. The only single I heard was “Outta My Head”. I had to search her name on Itunes to find this song. I really like it! The more I listen to it, the more I like it. This is the first song I heard her do a song with someone else. So that is pretty cool. She sounds awesome. I have always liked her music. It’s a good song.

Rihanna came out with a new song called “Take A Bow”. I am not sure what I think of it yet. I like it but it is kind of boring. I mean she sings good but she is more talking than singing. I like the idea of it! I like the lyrics but it is boring. I hate the music video. She acts tough in it, but she just doesn’t seem like that. Like she lifts up her lip, sort of like a growl, and it just is weird. She also points to the camera like to tell the guy off. And it doesn’t seem natural. But she looks pretty in the music video. It is the first time that I thought her new haircut looked good. But I don’t think she looks good with the red red lipstick on. I didn’t like right at the beginning because she sand two lines then started doing that “ooo ohh eh eh eh ya ya ya” stuff. And now ever since “Umbrella” it seems that she sings that in every song. Its annoying. But she didn’t do that in the rest of the song so that’s good. So.. It is an O.K. song but it has it’s moments, that make me not really like it.

My new favorite song is “I Kissed A Girl” by Katy Perry! I know right? It sounds a little weird because a girl sings it but it such a great song. I listen to a radio show called JohnJay and Rich and they had an interview with Madonna about a week ago. Madonna said her favorite song was “Ur So Gay” by Katy Perry. And then this morning they had an interview with Katy Perry so I decided I would check her out and I found this song! It has like the best beat and her voice is awesome! I don’t know if she is serious in this song (about kissing a girl) but I don’t care! It is a great song! I think it is funny when she says “I hope my boyfriend don’t mind it”. Ha-ha. Oh my goodness! I love Chris brown’s new song “Forever”. It is such a cute song and I love the beat! I like that the beat doesn’t over power Chris Brown but it flows with him and it is steady. He truly the best! I can’t even explain how great this song is. It is the best song he has made. I went on YouTube to see if it had a music video, and one video said this song was featuring Lil Wayne. I don’t know if that is true but if it is, Lil Wayne doesn’t have that big of a part. I haven’t even noticed if he is in the song. The only place that he could be in it is the very beginning. Someone says 1,2,3,4.. Then the song starts. That could be him, I guess. Well I did find a music video. I think it is the music video because it goes with the song, plus he is singing the words to it. Also I haven’t seen the clip before. The reason why I question if it is his music video to this song is because usually they don’t allow you to copy the code on new songs. I do not know why because it would only help people listen to your song, but usually the artist or producer cuts off the embedding code. I love this song! It’s really good. I wasn’t sure if I should by the song “Love Song” by Sara Bareilles because it is just an O.K song. I have seen the music video about a million times and I think it is a really weird. I don’t think the song matches what is going on in the music video. This is not only the first song but it is also the only song I have heard by Sara Bareilles. This song doesn’t impress me enough to go check out her other songs. So it will probably be the last. Unless they release another single on the radio. It is not that she does a bad job singing or anything it is just not my type of song.
