Lyrics for Photograph- Nickelback

Posted on April 11th, 2008 in Nickelback, Song of the Day by Tatertot

NickelbackAll of Nickelback’s songs are good, but one that I just don’t listen to very much is “Photograph.” I think it is a good song, and there is nothing wrong with the song but it gets boring. My dad and my sister really like it. It is one of their slower songs and that’s probably why I don’t listen to it. Because they are a rock/ metal band and they are doing a slow song, maybe it just isn’t right for them. I really don’t know why I don’t like it as much as there other songs. The only part that I can relate to is the beginning where Chad Kroeger says “Look at this photograph, every time I do it makes me laugh” because sometimes when I go back to old pictures they just make me laugh.
Love,
Tayler!

Here are ht lyrics for “Photograph”:

Look at this photograph
Every time I do it makes me laugh
How did our eyes get so red?
And what the hell is on Joey’s head?

This is where I grew up
I think the present owner fixed it up
I never knew we ever went without
The second floor is hard for sneaking out

This is where I went to school
Most of the time had better things to do
Criminal record says I broke in twice
I must’ve done it half a dozen times

I wonder if it’s too late
Should I go back and try to graduate
Life’s better now than it was back then
If I was them I would of let me in
Oh oh oh
Oh god I, I

Every memory of looking out the back door
I have a photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It’s hard to say,
It’s time to say it
Goodbye, Goodbye
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for
It’s hard to say,
It’s time to say it
Goodbye, Goodbye

Remember the old arcade
Blew every dollar that we ever made
The cops hated us hangin’ out
They say somebody went and burned it down

We used to listen to the radio
And sing along with every song we know
We said someday we’d find out how it feels
To sing to more than just the steering wheel

[Photograph lyrics on http://www.metrolyrics.com]

Kim’s the first girl I kissed
I was so nervous that I nearly missed
She’s had a couple of kids since then
I haven’t seen her since God knows when
Oh oh oh
Oh god I, I

Every memory of looking out the back door
I have a photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It’s hard to say,
It’s time to say it
Goodbye, Goodbye
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for
It’s hard to say,
It’s time to say it
Goodbye, Goodbye

I miss that town
I miss their faces
You can’t erase
You can’t replace it
I miss it now
I can’t believe it
So hard to stay
Too hard to leave it
If I could relive those days
I know the one thing that would never change

Every memory of looking out the back door
I have a photo album spread out on my bedroom floor
It’s hard to say,
It’s time to say it
Goodbye, Goodbye
Every memory of walking out the front door
I found the photo of the friend that I was looking for
It’s hard to say,
It’s time to say it
Goodbye, Goodbye

Look at this photograph
Every time I do it makes me laugh
Every time I do it makes me…

Into The Night- Santana featuring Chad Kroeger

Posted on March 2nd, 2008 in Nickelback, Song of the Day by Tatertot

SantanaChad KroegerSantana is such an amazing guitarist. My favorite song that he does is “Into The Night” featuring Chad Kroeger. I can tell Chad Kroeger’s voice anywhere and when I first heard this song I thought it was by Nickelback. Although the lyrics are excellent on this song, it would be nothing without Santana’s guitar playing. This song is so cool, I love it.
Love,
Tayler!

Here are the lyrics for “Into The Night”:

Like a gift from the heavens, it was easy to tell,
It was love from above, that could save me from hell, She had fire in her soul it was easy to see,
How the devil himself could be pulled out of me, There were drums in the air as she started to dance,
Every soul in the room keeping time with there hands,
And we sang

Ay oh ay oh ay oh ay,
And the voices bang like the angels sing,
We’re singing
Ay oh ay oh ay oh ay,
And we danced on into the night,
Ay oh ay oh,
Ay oh ay oh,
And we danced on into the night,

Like a piece to the puzzle that falls into place,
You could tell how we felt from the look on our faces,
We was spinning in circles with the moon in our eyes,
The room left them moving between you and I,
We forgot where we were and we lost track of time,
And we sang to the wind as we danced through the night,
And we sang

Ay oh ay oh ay oh ay,
And the voices bang like the angels sing,
We’re singing
Ay oh ay oh ay oh ay,
And we danced on into the night,
Ay oh ay oh,
Ay oh ay oh,
And we danced on into the night,
Ay oh ay oh,
Ay oh ay oh,
And we danced on into the night,

Like a gift from the heavens, it was easy to tell,
It was love from above, that could save me from hell, She had fire in her soul it was easy to see,
How the devil himself could be pulled out of me, There were drums in the air as she started to dance,
Every soul in the room keeping time with there hands,
And we sang

Ay oh ay oh ay oh ay,
And the voices bang like the angels sing,
We’re singing
Ay oh ay oh ay oh ay,
And we danced on into the night,
Ay oh ay oh,
Ay oh ay oh,
And we danced on into the night,
(And the voices bang like the angels sing),
Ay oh ay oh,
Ay oh ay oh,
And we danced on into the night,
Ay oh ay oh ay oh ay,
(Ay oh ay oh),
Ay oh ay oh ay oh ay,
(Ay oh ay oh),
Singing ay oh ay oh ay oh ay,
(Ay oh ay oh),

Animals- Nickelback

Posted on February 29th, 2008 in Nickelback, Song of the Day by Tatertot

NickelbackThe funniest song I have ever heard is “Animals” by Nickelback. It is about a girl sneaking out of her house to go “Hang out” with a guy. Ha-ha. It is so fast it took me forever to memorize the lyrics. But I finally did it. This is the most played song out of my whole library. You can listen to it a thousand times and still not get bored of it. It is not only funny but it is also good. Nickelback hasn’t failed me once on a bad song. Literally on their songs are good.
Love,
Tayler!

Here are the lyrics for “Animals”:

I, I’m driving black on black
Just got my license back
I got this feeling in my veins this train is coming off the track
I’ll ask polite if the devil needs a ride
Because the angel on my right ain’t hanging out with me tonight
I’m driving past your house while you were sneaking out
I got the car door opened up so you can jump in on the run
Your mom don’t know that you were missing
She’d be pissed if she could see the parts of you that I’ve been kissing
Screamin’

[CHORUS]
No, ain’t never gonna quit
Ain’t nothing wrong with it
Just acting like we’re animals
No, no matter where we go
‘Cause everybody knows
We’re just a couple animals

So come on baby, get in
just get in, just get in
Check out the trouble we’re in

You’re beside me on the seat
Got your hand between my knees
And you control how fast we go by just how hard you wanna squeeze
It’s hard to steer when you’re breathing in my ear
But I got both hands on the wheel while you got both hands on my gears
By now, no doubt that we were heading south
I guess nobody ever taught her not to speak with a full mouth
‘Cause this was it, like flicking on a switch
It felt so good I almost drove into the ditch
[Animals lyrics on http://www.metrolyrics.com]

I’m screamin’

[CHORUS]

So come on baby, get in
just get in, just get in
Look at the trouble we’re in

We were parked out by the tracks
We’re sitting in the back
And we just started getting busy
When she whispered “what was that?”
The wind, I think ’cause no one else knows where we are
And that was when she started screamin’
“That’s my dad outside the car!”
Oh please, the keys, they’re not in the ignition
Must have wound up on the floor while
we were switching our positions
I guess they knew that she was missing
As I tried to tell her dad it was her mouth that I was kissing
Screamin’

[CHORUS]

So come on baby, get in
We’re just a couple animals
Get in, just get in
Ain’t nothing wrong with it
Check out the trouble we’re in
we’re just a couple animals
Get in, just get in

Figured You Out- Nickelback

Posted on January 21st, 2008 in Nickelback, Song of the Day by Tatertot

NickelbackIn the fifth grade I broke my right arm by roller skating. I wasn’t allowed to ride my bike home after school so my dad came and picked me up everyday. And everyday we listened to the same radio station and that radio station played “Figured You Out” at three o’clock. Me and my dad would rush to the car just to jam out to this song everyday. It is an awesome awesome song. The very first song I heard by Nickelback. This is the song that got me hooked on their music. My dad says it is about drugs but my mom says it is about sex. But either way I still like it.
Love,
Tayler!

Here are the lyrics for “Figured You Out”:

I like your pants around your feet
And I like the dirt that’s on your knees
And I like the way you still say please
While you’re looking up at me
You’re like my favourite damn disease

And I love the places that we go
And I love the people that you know
And I love the way you can’t say no
Too many long lines in a row
I love the powder on your nose

And now I know who you are
It wasn’t that hard, just to figure you out
(Now I did, you wonder why)
And now I know who you are
It wasn’t that hard, just to figure you out
(Now I did, you wonder why)

I like the freckles on your chest
And I like the way you like me best
And I like the way you’re not impressed
While you put me to the test
I like the white stains on your dress

And I love the way you pass the check
And I love the good times that you wreck
And I love your lack of self-respect
While you passed out on the deck
I love my hands around your neck
[Figured You Out lyrics on http://www.metrolyrics.com]

And now I know who you are
It wasn’t that hard, just to figure you out
(Now I did, you wonder why)
And now I know who you are
It wasn’t that hard, just to figure you out
(Now I did, you wonder why)
(Why not before, you never tried)
(Gone for good, this is it)

I like your pants around your feet
And I like the dirt that’s on your knees
And I like the way you still say please
While you’re looking up at me
You’re like my favorite damn disease

And I hate the places that we go
And I hate the people that you know
And I hate the way you can’t say no
Too many long lines in a row
I hate the powder on your nose

And now I know who you are
It wasn’t that hard, just to figure you out
(Now I did, you wonder why)
And now I know who you are
It wasn’t that hard, just to figure you out
(Now I did, you wonder why)
(Why not before, you never tried)
(Gone for good, and this is it)

If Everyone Cared-Nickelback

Posted on January 14th, 2008 in Nickelback, Song of the Day by Tatertot

NickelbackI absolutely love Nickelback. They are such a great band. I love the song “If Everyone Cared” by them. It is a slower song but it is counted as a metal song. It is about “If Everyone Cared” than the world be just a little bit better. And I absolutely believe that is true. In the lyrics it says “We’d see the day where nobody died.” I don’t believe that is true because someone dies all the time. But it would be pretty awesome if we saw the day where nobody dies. This is one of my favorite songs by them. Who am I kidding all of their songs are great!
Love,
Tayler!

Here are the lyrics to “If Everyone Cared”:

From underneath the trees
We’d watch the sky
Confusing stars for satellites
I never dreamed you’d be mine
But here we are
We’re here tonight

Singin’ amen, I, I’m alive (I’m alive)
Singin’ amen, I, I’m alive

If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
Then we’d see the day when nobody died

And I’m singing
Amen, I
Amen, I, I’m alive
Amen, I, Amen, I,
Amen, I, I’m alive

And in the end the fireflies
Our only light in paradise
Show the world they were wrong
Teach them all to sing along

Singin’ amen, I, I’m alive (I’m alive)
Singin’ amen, I, I’m alive

If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
Then we’d see the day when nobody died
If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
Then we’d see the day when nobody died

When nobody died

And as we lie beneath the stars
We realize how small we are
If they could love like you and me
Imagine what the world could be

If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
Then we’d see the day when nobody died

If everyone cared and nobody cried
If everyone loved and nobody lied
If everyone shared and swallowed their pride
Then we’d see the day when nobody died

We’d see the day when nobody died
We’d see the day when nobody died

Rockstar- Nickelback

Posted on January 2nd, 2008 in Nickelback, Song of the Day by Tatertot

Nickelback“Rockstar” by Nickelback is a fantastic rock song. I think it is funny and ironic because all the guys in the band Nickelback are already rockstars. I like it because it is so simple like it says exactly what he wants and the perks of being a rockstar. It also has a great beat and I love the video. The video is of a bunch of different people singing the song. They have famous people in it and just regular people in it. it’s a good song.
Love,
Tayler!

Here are the lyrics for “Rockstar”:

I’m through with standing in line
To clubs we’ll never get in
It’s like the bottom of the ninth
And I’m never gonna win
This life hasn’t turned out
Quite the way I want it to be

(Tell me watchya want)

I want a brand new house
On an episode of Cribs
And a bathroom I can play baseball in
And a king size tub big enough
For ten plus me

(Tell me watchya need)

I’ll need a credit card that’s got no limit
And a big black jet with a bedroom in it
Gonna join the mile high club
At thirty-seven thousand feet

I want a new tour bus full of old guitars
My own star on Hollywood Boulevard
Somewhere between Cher and
James Dean is fine for me

(So how you gonna do it)

I’m gonna trade this life for fortune and fame
I’d even cut my hair and change my name

‘Cause we all just wanna be big rockstars
And live in hilltop houses driving fifteen cars
The girls come easy and the drugs come cheap
We’ll all stay skinny ’cause we just won’t eat
And we’ll hang out in the coolest bars
In the VIP with the movie stars
Every good gold digger’s
Gonna wind up there
Every Playboy bunny
With her bleach blond hair and well,
Hey hey I wanna be a rockstar
Hey hey I wanna be a rockstar

I wanna be great like Elvis without the tassels
Hire eight body guards that love to beat up assholes
Sign a couple autographs
So I can eat my meals for free

(I’ll have the quesadilla, haha)

I’m gonna dress my ass
With the latest fashion
Get a front door key to the Playboy mansion
Gonna date a centerfold that loves to
Blow my money for me

(So how you gonna do it)

I’m gonna trade this life
For fortune and fame
I’d even cut my hair
And change my name

‘Cause we all just
Wanna be big rockstars
And live in hilltop houses Driving fifteen cars
The girls come easy and
The drugs come cheap
We’ll all stay skinny
’cause we just won’t eat
And we’ll hang out in the coolest bars
In the VIP with the movie stars
Every good gold digger’s
Gonna wind up there
Every Playboy bunny
With her bleach blond hair
And we’ll hide out in the private rooms
With the latest dictionary and
Today’s who’s who
They’ll get you anything
With that evil smile
Everybody’s got a
Drug dealer on speed dial
Hey hey I wanna be a rockstar

I’m gonna sing those songs
That offend the censors
Gonna pop my pills
From a pez dispenser

I’ll get washed-up singers writing all my songs
Lip sync em every night so I don’t get ‘em wrong

Well we all just wanna be big rockstars
And live in hilltop houses driving fifteen cars
The girls come easy and the drugs come cheap
We’ll all stay skinny ’cause we just won’t eat
And we’ll hang out in the coolest bars
In the VIP with the movie stars
Every good gold digger’s gonna wind up there
Every playboy bunny with her bleach blond hair
And we’ll hide out in the private rooms
With the latest dictionary and today’s who’s who
They’ll get you anything with that evil smile
Everybody’s got a drug dealer on speed dial
Hey hey I wanna be a rockstar
Hey hey I wanna be a rockstar

Nickelback

Posted on November 17th, 2007 in Nickelback, bands/ artists by Tatertot

Nickelback is a band like Matchbox Twenty. Everyone of their songs is good. They are a rock, metal, and alternative band. My favorite song by them is “Animals” because that is absolutely hilarious. The song is about a girl sneaking out to go get with a guy and her parents find out, it is just funny! My second favorite song by them is “Figured you out” when I broke my arm in 5th grade my dad had to pick me up from school and everyday at 3 o’clock “Figured you out” would be playing on the radio! We would sing it and jam out till we got home. It was weird just everyday it was on. But then I heard it in the car with my mom and I told her I liked this song and she told me I wasn’t allowed to listen because it was about sex but my dad said it was really about drugs. So I don’t know if my mom forgot about that but I listen to it all the time now. I also like their new song “Rockstar” the song is good and the music video is good. The music video is of random people and famous people singing the songs about wanting to be a rock star. Two of their slower songs are “Photograph” and “Should’ve listened.” “Photograph” is about him going back and shows where he grew up and had memories. Well I could go on forever naming good songs that they have but the truth is all of their songs are good. Nickelback is one of my favorite bands. They are awesome!

Love,

Tayler!
